o3IPTV

Features on Apple TV

Every feature is included. Try everything free for 14 days, then subscribe.

Account and devices

1 Sign in with an email code

Sign in with just your email. There is no password. o3IPTV emails you a one-time code, and your first sign-in creates the account.

On the sign-in screen enter your email with the on-screen keyboard and click “Continue with email”. Type the code and click “Verify code”. If the email does not arrive, choose “Send a new code”.

2 Approve a sign-in from another device

Sign a new device in by approving it from a device that is already signed in. It saves typing your email on a TV, a headset or a computer.

The sign-in screen displays a QR code and a short code. Scan the QR code with your phone camera, or in the o3IPTV app on a phone or computer go to Devices > Approve a New Device and enter the code. A declined or expired code is replaced by a fresh one automatically.

3 Devices and the device limit

See every device signed in to your account and sign any of them out. One account can be signed in on up to 5 devices at once.

Open Settings > Account > “Manage devices”, which lists “N of M devices”, then “Sign out all other devices” if needed. At the limit a prompt asks which device to remove (“Remove device?”). If this Apple TV was removed, a card explains why.

4 14-day free trial

Every feature is included from day one. New accounts get 14 days free, no card needed, then you subscribe to keep going.

While your trial runs, Home displays a slim “Free trial” band with the days left and a “Subscribe” button. Click it to open the plans.

5 Subscription and plans

One subscription covers every device on your account and every feature in the app. It never includes media.

Click “Subscribe” in Settings > Account, or open the paywall when playback is blocked. “Choose your plan” lists the App Store prices for monthly, 6 months or yearly, with “Restore purchases” and “Re-check” on the same screen. “Manage subscription” points to Apple TV Settings > Users and Accounts > Subscriptions.

6 Account settings

One place for your subscription, profile, devices, sync and sign-out. Delete account removes your cloud data.

Settings > Account lists who you are signed in as and your subscription state, with “Manage devices”, “Switch profile”, “Manage profiles”, “Sync now”, “Manage subscription”, “Sign out” and “Delete account”. Deleting is finished on a phone or computer.

Playlists and sources

7 Add a source with your Xtream login

Enter your Xtream Codes login and o3IPTV imports your live channels, movies, series and TV guide. o3IPTV is a player and ships no content.

On first run add your first playlist, or go to Settings > Media Sources. Enter the playlist name, server URL, username and password, with an optional custom EPG URL. The app checks the login before anything is saved.

8 Several sources, one active

Keep more than one login and choose which one you are watching.

With two or more playlists a playlist row appears in the sidebar above Settings. Click it to open “Choose a playlist”. Settings > Media Sources also has “Set active”.

9 Source status and actions

Check what a source holds and when it expires. Refresh it, swap its login or delete it from the same card.

Open Settings > Media Sources. Each card lists status, expiry, connections in use and counts. Choose “Refresh”, “Renew” (new username and password) or “Delete”.

10 Guide source for each playlist

Use your provider's TV guide or point a source at your own XMLTV address.

In Settings > Media Sources choose the guide option on a playlist. Pick “Provider guide (recommended)” or “Custom XMLTV URL”. “Update guide” runs the update now.

11 Exclude categories

Exclude whole Live TV, Movie or Series categories from a source. Excluded categories and their content leave the app, and including them again restores them.

In Settings > Media Sources choose “Exclusions” on a playlist. Use the tabs Live TV, Movies and Series. Each category reads Included or Excluded, with “Exclude all” and “Include all”. Apply to refresh. Only the main profile can change exclusions.

12 New categories from your provider

Get told when your provider adds categories, and choose to exclude new ones automatically until you include them.

Home displays a line when the provider adds categories, with Review and Dismiss. The Exclusions dialog has a toggle, “Exclude new categories automatically”, so new categories start excluded until you include them.

13 Expired source warnings

The app tells you when a provider account has expired, so a failing channel does not look like a bug.

Home displays a line, “<name> has expired”, with “Manage Playlist”. Playing offers “Manage Playlist” or “Play Anyway”.

14 Automatic library and guide updates

o3IPTV keeps your channels, movies, series and TV guide fresh without you opening Refresh.

The app refreshes at the first wake after about 4 am, because Apple TV does not run background tasks while the TV sleeps. “Refresh” in Media Sources works any time.

Live TV

21 Browse live channels

Find channels as a logo grid or a list, with sorting and categories. Numbers sort naturally, so ESPN 2 comes before ESPN 11.

Open Live TV in the sidebar. Categories are on the left, channels in the middle, preview and programme details on the right. Swipe or click Right from a category to reach its channels. Sort categories and channels from the browser's sort menu.

22 Pinned, recent and favorite categories

Favorite and recently used categories sit at the top of the list, and categories your provider just added are marked New.

The list starts with Favorites, “Recently watched”, “All channels” and “New”. Star a category (“Add category to favorites”) to move it to the top. Favorite categories sync to your other devices, and pinned and starred rows stay on top when you sort.

23 On Now programme titles

Every channel tile or row names the programme that is on now, taken from the TV guide.

Each channel row names the current programme. Focus a channel to see now, up next, minutes left and the description in the right column. Guide, Favorites and Home rows show it too.

24 Channel previews

Preview a live channel inside the list without leaving it.

Click a channel to start a muted preview in the right column. Click the same channel again for full screen. The hint reads “OK Preview”, then “OK Full screen · Hold OK Favorite”. The Guide works the same way.

25 Channel actions menu

Press and hold Select on a channel for quick actions: favorite it, set a reminder or watch it full screen.

In Live TV press and hold the clickpad on a channel. The menu offers “Add to favorites” or “Remove from favorites”, “Remind me” or “Remove reminder”, and “Watch full screen”.

26 Channel logos

Logos load from your provider first, then from the o3IPTV logo service, then a clean placeholder. You can set the color behind them.

Open Settings > Customization and pick a swatch for the logo background. A preview shows the result.

TV Guide, Catch Up and reminders

31 Programme reminders

Get a reminder before a programme starts. Reminders sync across your devices and profile.

Movies and Series

32 Browse movies and series

Browse as a grid or a list, with sorting, category filters and search inside the screen.

Open Movies or Series in the sidebar. The toolbar has Category, search, Grid, List and Sort. The default rail is “Recently Added”, or “New Episodes” for series. Tags such as “EN -” are stripped from titles.

33 Movie details

Read about a film before you play it: synopsis, ratings, cast, trailers and similar titles, with artwork and details from TMDB.

Click a movie. Buttons include “Watch Now” or “Resume”, “Start over”, a heart and “Add to list…”. Below are Cast, “Trailers & Clips”, “More Like This” and “Recommendations”. Click an actor to see their other titles “In your library”.

34 Series details

Seasons and episodes are listed with a rating. “Watch Now S1 E2” plays the next episode, or “Resume S1 E2”. Cast, trailers and more like this sit below.

35 Trailers

Watch a trailer from a title's page.

Click “Trailers & Clips” on a title page. The trailer opens in the YouTube app on Apple TV, and the row is missing if YouTube is not installed.

36 Sagas and collections

See how much of a film series you own, and jump to the next film.

A movie page lists “N of M movies in your library”, “Current movie” and “Next in collection”. “Complete Sagas” rows on Home have one card per saga.

37 Versions and languages

When your source has several copies of one title, such as other languages or qualities, pick the one you want and see its file size.

“Watch Now” picks a copy by your preferred audio language. Otherwise “Choose a Version” lists copies with the playlist name and size. In the player, Options > “Change Version” swaps copy for movies.

38 Up Next

Near the end of an episode a card offers the next one with a countdown, so a binge needs no clicks.

A card says “UP NEXT” with “Playing in Ns” and “Play now”.

39 Resume or start over

Open a title you started and choose to carry on or begin again.

Opening a partly watched title asks “Continue watching?” with “Resume” and “Start over”, and says where you left off.

56 Subtitles

Turn on subtitles from the stream's own tracks, or choose no subtitles.

Open Options > Subtitles and pick an embedded track, or “No subtitles”.

57 Online subtitles from OpenSubtitles

Download a matching subtitle when the stream has none. A free OpenSubtitles account allows 20 downloads a day.

Specific cards explain problems: “All connections in use”, “Not supported on this device”, “Title Unavailable at Source” (with “Try Another Version”), “Channel blocked by provider” and “VPN Unreachable”.

69 Profile PIN

Protect a profile with a 4-digit PIN that is asked whenever someone switches into it, on every device.

In Manage profiles set a 4-digit PIN on a profile. Switching to it asks for the PIN. “Forgot PIN?” emails a 6-digit reset code.

70 Parental controls (adult lock)

Lock adult channels, movies and series behind a PIN across the whole app.

Open Settings > Parental controls and set a PIN. While locked, adult content is kept out of every list and needs the PIN to play. The lock re-engages every time the app starts. Locked titles read “This title is locked”.

75 Restore on a new device

Sign in on a fresh device and your sources and preferences come back by themselves.

After you sign in the app displays “Restoring your sources” and “Restoring your library” with progress while catalogs and the TV guide download.

Stream-only VPN

76 Stream-only VPN

Send only the video of one source through your own WireGuard VPN. If the VPN drops, playback stops rather than going direct.

Open Settings > Media Sources, choose a playlist, then “Connection”. Paste your provider's WireGuard .conf, or renew it. Provider sign-in is done in the phone or computer app and arrives by sync. If the VPN is down you see “VPN Unreachable”.

Settings and languages

77 Interface language

The app speaks 11 languages: English, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French, German, Dutch, Turkish, Italian, Polish and Swedish.

Open Settings > Customization > Language. A change needs the app closed and reopened: press the TV button twice, swipe up on o3IPTV to close it, then open it again.
